We advise clients with general estate planning including Will drafting, tax (capital acquisitions tax (inheritance tax)/capital gains tax), and intestacy (where no will is made). We also advise Executors on their powers and duties. Further we have experience dealing with Enduring Powers of Attorney and Living Wills.

Personal Injury

We have experience dealing with personal injury actions including taking your claim to the Injuries Board. Where the Board cannot deal with your case or you are not satisfied with their award we have experience bringing your case to the courts.

Family

We provide high quality legal advice on all aspects of family law. We strive to provide cost effective solutions arising from the breakdown of a marriage or a relationship. We adopt a practical and client focused approach to negotiating family law settlements and in circumstances where agreement cannot be reached and litigation becomes necessary, we provide representation in all Court jurisdictions ranging from District Court to High Court and guide our clients at every step of the process. We will discuss all of your options with you so that you can make an informed decision before embarking on any particular course of action, to include mediation, collaborative law, negotiation and litigation.

Debt Collection

We have extensive experience dealing with debt collection work for clients commencing with drafting the initial letter to obtaining judgment. We also enforce judgments on behalf of clients whether it be through the Sheriff, committal procedure or registration of the judgment (in the land registry or companies office). We also advise clients re: garnishee orders, bankruptcy and liquidation.

Criminal

We believe that any client accused of a crime deserves a strong and robust defense. We carry out detailed research and investigations into every possible defence for each case and represent our clients in the Garda station and the court. We deal with all criminal offences including:

We advise start up companies on all aspects of their business ranging from advice on incorporation to the relevant regulatory requirements. We also advise established companies and their directors on their obligations under the Company Acts including director’s fiduciary duties. We advise shareholders including minority shareholders and we also provide advice on company secretarial requirements.

Employment

We have advised employers on all aspects of employment ranging from advices in the drafting of the employment contract up to redundancy advices. We also have assisted employees who have been dismissed unfairly. We can represent both employer or employee at Disciplinary Hearings before the Rights Commissioner, Employment Appeals Tribunal or the Courts.

Property

Niall worked in one of the busiest property departments in the country. Whilst there he gained a wealth of experience. This coupled with further post qualified experience gained in a midlands practice Niall believes that he will deliver excellent results for our property clients whether it be residential or commercial conveyancing, landlord and tenant work or land registry applications generally. Niall has guided many first time purchasers through their first house/apartment purchase to ensure that the transaction ran as smoothly as possible. In Landlord and Tenant transactions Niall has advised many property clients on commercial leases (tax implications, insurances, permitted user, service charges, tenant’s rights etc.), ground rents – acquisition of freehold for clients where they hold under a long lease and residential leases.
